The principles of Modernisme also had an effect on music. The most famous composers include Felip Pedrell, Enric Morera, Antoni Nicolau, Lluís Millet, Isaac Abéniz and Enric Granados. Musical institutions including the Orfeo Català, the Catalan Concert Society, the New Catalonia Choral Society and the Barcelona Philharmonic Society were set up in the closing decade of the 19th century. The Palau de la Música Catalana concert hall was built by Lluís Domènech i Montaner between 1905 and 1908 as the home of the Orfeo Català, linking the shared concerns of the fields of architecture and music.
